Hiking near Mt. Rosen

This is my favorite shot from a recent hiking trip with some old

friends. I like the mood it conveys, but I wonder if it only conveys

a mood because I was there and I know the two guys walking. Would be

curious to hear people think works (or doesn't) with this photo.

This is well-composed and very colorful.

Nice image in it's own right, but by placing your buddies so far off center I think you emphasize the landscape too much and lessen their importance.

It's interesting that you noted that, since I actually tend to always minimize the human element in my landscape photographs (a personal preference). So, I can see where your feedback would make sense if I had intended this, first and foremost, to be a photo of my friends, but since I actually wanted to show them in relation to the landscape around them (while also emphasizing the winding wooden path), your comments suggest that I achieved my aim. :-)
