shoots 0 Posted March 13, 2001 This image has nice depth. I can still see the tangle in the sunlit background as well as the shaded forground, as we know, not easy to do well. The non-directional texture created by the foliage is like a coursely woven textile. The cat has an interesting prowling posture. I knew a guy, normally non-confrontational, who got thrown out of that bar and almost got into a fight with the staff. Must be something on the water.Or beer. Link to comment

markci 0 Posted March 15, 2001 Get closer and simplify. This is a very busy photo and the center of interest takes up a very tiny portion of the frame. For what it's worth, I read an article that quoted Hemingway's son as saying that they never had cats in Key West, but only in Cuba, and that a lot of the other stories the tour guides tell are wrong too!
