powerful shot, and nice way of highlighting the flag. i just think it might have been more powerful with a real american flag (with stars)- but overall I still think it is a great shot.

I would like to say its nice work. But then, being a "purist" of sorts I ask "why?". I mean with the colour transposition.

Shoot either B&W or colour. This half B&W, half colour thing is the like the Cokin excess of the 70's and 80's. Also prefer to see faces rather than the backs of heads.

I like the "stars"; you did a good job in the desat process - optical and psychological contrast. Another example where the "chill" is felt beyond the reach of the eyes.

Ah, too bad you couldn't get him to look over his shoulder; it would be nice to see a face in the crowd. Nevertheless, I think this illustrates the guy's position on America's foreign economic interest driving the war machine. The large sign in the background (I want to say foreground, because everyone's facing that way!) balances out the composition. Effective, strong message.

i like the manipulation you've done... although i've seen a lot of stuff like it. Its a decent crowd shot... however... think about how much better the shot could be if you could see the expression on the peoples' faces. Faces tell a story not backs.

I think you should see some faces!
