dara 0 Posted January 27, 2010 Thanks Meir, yes it does have a tendency towards sepia, yet without the strong characteristic sepia brown/orange cast. I used "Platinum toning" about 20% in the photo editing software to get more tone differentiation and lightness in shadows. Best regards Link to comment

Donna Stavis 0 Posted February 13, 2010 I also love the tone and the street scene itself, a glimpse into the streets (perhaps movie culture) of Teheran. The framing -- the two cars, back wall and tree -- are wonderful! The man guides me onto the sidewalk, into the scene. The short pole near the left car is intriguing; on each side of the circle, there appear to be hands-- praying hands? I wonder what this represents. Likewise, under each billboard is the formation of a cross like a religious --albeit a foreign religious--undertone to it all. Impressive, intriguing work. Link to comment
dara 0 Posted February 18, 2010 Donna, thank you for your comments and interesting thoughts. The praying hands are on a box; it is a collection box for the poor and the needy. Appreciate your visits. Dara Link to comment
