Just some ideas that went through my mind:- light on the left side of the picture is too harsh (maybe frontal fill-flash would have helped here)- I have the impression, that the nose is sharper than the eyes (since you're close to the cat, go safe and stop your lens down, e.g. f/4 -> f/5.6 -> f/8; the DOF varies then between aprox. 7 cm (=2.8") and 15 cm (=5.9"))- the photo doesn't look very sharp (it can be a scanning issue, try to use a stronger "unsharp mask" in PS); for this kind of portrait, maybe a slower film (ISO 50/ ISO 100) would be better too - the view angle looks strange to me, maybe a frontal or lateral portrait would have been nicer- the posted image size is difficult to view (I'm using a 19"@1280x1024 and I still don't see the whole photo in "medium size") Happy shooting!
