dabar 0 Posted February 11, 2003 This is a GREAT shot Jerry. I sure wish I had her available as a model here in Tucson. Her comfort and natural ease certainly come through in this shot. Nice setting, composition and lighting. Link to comment
jerrymat 5 Posted February 13, 2003 Sarah, the line between pornography and eroticism is a fine one and my guess is that each person draws it differently. My attempt was to create an image in the spirit of the early 50's pinups, long since regarded as a special genre of images preceding the Playboy revolution. They were marked by an attitude that "pure" girls did not reveal their bodies on purpose, and therefore an accidental voyeurism was implicit in each picture. I think I captured that mood rather well and by my definition, that is art. There is an out of print book called Eroticism of the Masters that you should try to locate and study. It turns out that many of the great western tradition painters dabbled in this sort of image. They did have to put them in a book, because museums are embarrassed to exhibit them. That says something about our culture. Link to comment

victor wood 0 Posted February 17, 2003 "you are such a perv! this is porn not art!" What on earth is porn about this? It doesnt show any sexual act, or sexual body parts. Its no more than what you would see on the average beach, at least here in Europe! I like this shot a lot. Link to comment
dragonfly606 0 Posted February 22, 2003 My first thought was how I thought this looked like a pinup girl from the 50's. I LOVE it! In the small version it appears to look like one of the old poster drawings Link to comment
nikos 0 Posted July 25, 2003 Well I don't think this is a very interesting photo in any way, but as other posters have already pointed out, it has captured this pin-up style very accurately. Have you ever considered working more in this direction? I guess that if you experimented with different environments, poses and vintage colour you could produce interesting stuff. Link to comment
