Hello- my first "photo for critique" here, any comments welcome.

I'm playing with a new scanner, and not sure if the scan is too dark-

my monitors at home and at work disagree with each other!

I'm afraid there's still some work to be done here, post-scan. There's a lot of dust/scanning artifacts in the sky, and the whole image seems a little soft. The tones are probably a little dark, as well, though there is also some highlight area.

Perhaps you can crop the photo a bit to focus on the wind mill. It seems to me that there are too much sky and it makes the photo less interesting. Just my 2 cents worth of comments!

Nice shot if the scan is cleaned up a bit, as suggested above. I also think a little bit of cropping, on the left side, maybe. Not too dark to me.

I would suggest that you correct the perspective. There is no need for converging verticals here.

Hi Stephen. This is an excellent scene you have, one of the type I favor. IR film can be very tricky, especially HIE. A lot depends on the angle of the sun. Keep up the effort!
