a2cavallini 0 Posted January 16, 2010 I love the way you get on focus the fine detail structure of the "surface"... great work Link to comment
TPiorkowski 60 Posted January 17, 2010 Great picture, I like to focus on the center, and the outer softness. Very well done. Link to comment
ellery 0 Posted January 17, 2010 Speaking of things that I want - I too want to get an extension tube for more close up stuff - I have seen alot of these dandies on here, I like the soft brown background used here - it looks great - I may have to get me one of these tubes soon - have you liked it? sonneland 0 Posted January 19, 2010 Alain, have passed this by many times as a thumbnail and finally decided to open it up. A pleasant surprise. A lovely image of the often shot dandelion. would really like to see color version. nicely done! Link to comment
AlainD 0 Posted January 19, 2010 The soft brown background is the result of the post-processing. The B&W image was converted to a trichromatic picture. Sorry, I think this is not the right term, but I can't remember how you call that in English. It's like a sepia conversion. I'm quite happy with my extension tubes, although I've only used them very rarely, being rather interested into portraits. I wonder if a rather cheap lense like the Canon EFS 60mm macro isn't much more easy to use and lighter. But I'm a total newbie in the world of macro... Link to comment
AlainD 0 Posted January 19, 2010 Unfortunately there's no color version. When I took this picture, I wasn't familiar neither with RAW files nor Photoshop. And it was just a test shooting. I took a few color pictures, but they are not as sharp as this one. And this one was taken with the B&W mode on the camera, JPEG only. Time has passed and today I would shoot this in a different way... Link to comment
samaher_hassan 0 Posted September 30, 2016 Dandelion or Taraxacum is a flowering plant that can be found in different places all over the world,I like the accurate details you have here with nice focus on the center of the flower that turned smoothly to be blurry in the edges. I like the colors contrast that make this photo really fresh. It makes me think "how beautiful the life is?". Link to comment
