mel_unruh 0 Posted January 17, 2010 Before this, I hadn't done a portrait of a small group (3 or more) before. Usually I shoot individuals and couples, so this presented some interesting challenges. Although it was a Christmas portrait, I chose not to shoot it as such. I chose instead to make a more elegant image that only hints at the time of year. Your thoughts and comments are welcomed. celasun 0 Posted January 17, 2010 I liked the lighting most; difficult to adjust for three people. If I number your three models from left to right as 1, 2 and 3; this is the order I would sit them: 2, 3, 1.In the present state, we follow their heads and exit the frame towards lower right with a down-slope. Rearranging the level of their heads might help to keep the attention within the frame longer, I guess.I would not include the background picture of flowers (serves more like a distraction than a compositional element).I haven't done anything this complicated myself; so please take my suggestions with a grain of salt :) Link to comment
