I dont think i'll be showing my insurance company any of the last two

postings!

I decided I wanted to get closer to the wave action on this one to get

more intensity into the final image. In order to keep a still lens I had to

jam the legs of my tripod into gaps between the rocks as free standing

simply was not going to cut it. I had to start the exposure just after a

real big one had broken which left me with about 2+ minutes to play

with. A couple of times prior to this image I had to retreat very quickly

as my timing on the big ones was a little out ,no time to get the legs out

I just had to quick release the camera and get outta there pronto!

Anyway thanks for your time - all the best Ferg

A beauty, Fergus! it looks like fog but reading your intro, I think indeed that you must not show them what you do ;))

Very well capture, good comp and lovely tones!

Great work!

And take good care! lol!

I really like the colors of this image. Good job dodging the waves!

So is your tripod still jammed into the rocks?

An excellent shot Fergus; very surreal and I like the green off in the distance! Thanks for sharing your experience too. The things we do to get those special images, eh? Best Regards ~ Gary

Terrific, well worth the effort, I think must have been a nervous experience though. but I'm glad you pulled it off and I'm sure you must be proud of the results, rek.
