amandak 0 Posted January 8, 2010 I used Adobe Lightroom to edit this, I am new to Lightroom so this was a test in editing with it. Again, a picture of my friend. Link to comment
olli.pekonen 0 Posted January 8, 2010 Interesting and unusual angle. Nice, strange color harmony. And a model that looks comfortable being photographed. Some hints: the shirt is way too black in the front (it is totally black with no detlais), and the left hand is truncated at the wrist which is a bit of an "ouch" in light of the "rules" of portraiture (never cut your subject at the joints, only midway) Link to comment
suspendedmoments 0 Posted January 10, 2010 Hi and thanks for sharing your portrait... there are some crop basic rules I'd like to tell you about.. her arms are cropped at unfortunate locations.. her left hand at the wrist... and right arm at the elbow... IF you have to crop body parts, you may find it better not to do it at the joints? just suggestions... I do like the colors... red against green and so on, withe the black leading lines... two shades of red.. between the lipstick and glasses... a tiny clash there... I hope you are not offended by my observations... it's hard sometimes to put your work out there.. on on here... but I hope I've been somewhat constructive for you... Take care! Link to comment
