This is one of the best B&W Baby photos ever made!!! She is beautiful and You are the Wizard of lightness! Thank You for sharing this with us! Best regards, Ana

Very nice! Unless you were trying to hide a distracting element, the cropping could be shifted to the right a bit, so as to reduce the empty black area on the left, and see a bit more of her head to the right. But the lighting is just right!

Wonderful image. Truly captures the child's innocence. It is simple yet the lighting presents opportunities for various personal interpretations. For me, this has a spiritual intonation of enlightenment or revelation. Very well done!

This is so fantastic. I see so many photos on this site and wonder what others see that I don't that makes them special. This one is truly special, even I can see that. Besides exquisite lighting the expression of innocense is absolute. The title understates what this image captures. I hope you did it in a medium or large format, It deserves a prominate place in a fine arts gallery.

The innocence of a child, what a wonderful thing to catch on film. Well done. This photo truly deserves publication.

Thank you all for the kind words. Emily (my daughter) is a joy to photograph and I hope to have more photos in the years to come.

Fantastic shot it is but I wonder if you would consider moving the highlights from the chin/cheek areas up to the eye area? Those highlights along with one on the far side of the childs shirt collar are blown out (although that may be the scan). I think the crop is very good, I like the way the print is burnt in on top and bottom and of course the color/tone is superb. Well done.

Too much of the babys body in this photo I feel it would work better with a crop 1/3 from the bottom? Wellcaptured with lovely lighting
