Lion Fish Posing

Lionfish are such gorgeous fish. We have a Black Volitan (this one is a Red Volitan, right?) who is about 6 inches long. He is an eating machine!

The color in this photo is remarkably good given that it is in an aquarium (I am assuming). Our tank has that purplish light (great for invertebrates, impossible for photos) that is impossible to remove.

Excellent subject with loads of color. I have to say that the one thing that stands out on this photo is the lighting. It is hard to tell if the eyes are tack sharp but even so the eyes have a nice sharpness fanning out from the body.

The composition is nice. It looks like the eyes are NOT directly in the middle which makes for a pleasing shot for the viewer.
