nadia.dagaro 0 Posted January 2, 2010 Essential with a fresh feel, I like it! Ciao Jack, happy new year! Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted January 2, 2010 Should not be any surprise that this one appeals me very much. I do sense great care in framing and post-processing (perspective correction, I presume). Your trademark, the soft ambient light and the overall tint help me not to think this were by Eric Stolk. Looks like you are mastering your new tool very well, Jack. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 2, 2010 Thanks for the comment on this picture which is a favorite of mine. I'm afraid most people won't find anything interesting here but to me is very special. Markku, amazingly enough, even though my skills at image straightening have improved lately, none was necessary here, Except for some minor adjustment of levels, this is pretty much right out of the camera. Finally, allow me to say that the idiot who gave this a 3/3 knows nothing about art or photography. There, I feel better now. Link to comment
Alx 0 Posted January 3, 2010 Rigorous geometry & great mystery in the minimalism! What are the guardians guarding? Excellent! Ciao, Alx Link to comment

blockphoto 0 Posted January 4, 2010 The more of your work I look at, the more I appreciate your sense of composition within the frame...this is lovely. Nice use of color and texture, beautiful light, and well balanced composition. I'm envious that you have access to the bounty of design that Japan has to offer. The only thing I have against Osaka is that I became extremely ill after eating chicken sashimi there and was incapacitated for the remainder of my trip. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 4, 2010 Appreciate the comments. Osaka can be a bountiful source of images but it's also awfully claustrophobic. Chicken sashimi? Are you crazy!?! Link to comment
