Let me spend a bit more time here with you and share a few ideas with you. I'm not sure whether that's fine with you or not, but all I can do is to try my luck...:-)

First of all, let me tell you this... I have been observing your folders and reading some of your comments on the site - mostly, but not only those about your pictures -, for a very long time...

Yet, as you know, I have never posted a single comment on your pages. Well, time has come...

My general impression is that your ork is madly interesting, and I'd go a step further - hopefully, that's ok -, saying that you seem to be yourself a very interesting individual...

I perceive that your comments and your images reflect exactly the same thing, and I perceive both your work and you as "tourmented"... Please don't take this the wrong way, because to me, that can be a very positive thing ! :-)

My very best friend ever was the most tourmented and most interesting person I ever met. He's passed away now, unfortunately, but he was a brilliant man, capable of the best and capable of the worst. He was the most emotional person I had ever met, and the most generous, and also one of the most intelligent people I was lucky enough to meet. He was a chess player by profession, by the way...

On an inspired day, he litterally demolished the champion of Belgium in a few moves, on another inspired day, he won another game against one of the 50 top-rated players in the world... And on a bad day, he could lose to just any idiot...:-)

Well, I'm just telling you this, because you and your work reminded me of him.

Basically, I find some of your pictures incredibly strong, like this one for example, and many other pictures of yours fail in my humble opinion, because you went "too far"...

You are and your work is very extreme, and that is fine... But where's the limit is the question... My friend past away because he had been walking on a wire for way too long, and never found the limit he was in fact looking for...

Don't get offended, I'm not a fortune teller nor a complete idiot - well, hopefully ! :-) -, and I'm predicting nothing of that sort for you, but I suspect that the fact you have no limits IN YOUR ART serves you as well as it may also sometimes fail you.

I'll leave it at that for now, because I feel I have already passed the limits myself, but if you have any interest in pursuing this conversation, feel free to send me an e-mail...

Back to the picture, I'd say that the saturation has left a few "pixelized" areas, and that there are no details in the shadows. I see the first problem as a real technical problem, and I have no final opinion avout the shadow details. Basically, you might want these shadows to be pure black, and if so, I have no objection at all.

As for the rest of this picture, plain and simple, I just love it. I love the attire, I love the colors, I love the chair, I love the composition and I love the angle. All this is bloody damn good - full stop. :-)

The expression is fabulous too, it seems, and it is a very important part of this image imo. So, I would really love to see a larger version of this. I'd be curious to be able to see exactly were the great shadows under the eye-brows stop exactly for example. And to enjoy the expression fully. But this, Kaye, is a real winner. It might just need to be revised a tad to avoid the pixelization that comes with extreme PS saturation. Regards, and bravo !
