Chris, thanks for the comments. Even with this one I was very frustrated with the enormity and beauty of the whole scene. I thought the different rocks in the foreground and mid and background were somewhat interesting, but somewhat. I feel like I missed "it". I guess thats what keeps us going out trying to get that really good shot.

And yes, Alabama does have hills:) . Beautiful ones up in Muscle Shoals area, but these ain't it. These are on the Eastern side of the Sierra Nevada range a valley or two removed from Death Valley.
