A beautifully captured image. You maintained the subleties of both color and saturation very well. It is also very sharp and your composition dead on.

I find the leaves a little distracting however. I blurred them a bit and vignetted the image somewhat to draw more attention to the flower. What do your think?

Scott : thanks a lot for your suggestion and the time you spent with PS! You're right, in your version the flower is much more eye-catching. And well... your picture is simply much more attractive. To tell the truth, I hesitated to post-process it more like you did, but too much manipulation and some sort of "surreal" look is a little conflicting for me. What is the most important ? Beauty or reality ? Well... it's Sunday, so today Beauty is the winner. I'll work again on the post-processing this afternoon and upload a new version. Thanks and best regards, Alain

Alain, have looked at your original version and also at Scotts version. It seems to me you have taken Scotts advice as gospel. I read what he wrote, as he was just having a play with your image and wanted to know what you thought. As to your image, I find nothing wrong with it at all, the leafs actually add to the image they both are pointing upwards to the flower which is naturally the main subject here. The colors are what dominate here for me the bold pink and whites over the subdued greens and grays is just splendid. Anyway mine is just one more opinion. Lovely image, well done !

Roger : thanks for your comments and for your time! I guess it seems I took Scott's words like a gospel... because my final version looks quite like his suggestion. But as I wrote above all in all I find this version more beautiful, although heavily manipulated... I kind of had it in my mind before, but first I decided to make it natural. Anyway, I'm satisfied with the way it looks now. Thanks again and best regards, Alain
