The subject- first I pulled up on today's forum, is so nice and tender that it would be hard to pass this one up without a few humble suggestions,Sally. Only two I promise. I would have made every attempt to circle this bird ( kestrel? No, not a bird knowledgable personme ) and its chick to get them against a background without the leaves, which compete for attention and de emphasize the prominence of the two avian subjects. Your main players. And it seems, though I can't be sure, that the chick is a little bit out of focus or, more likely, has movement blur. That is tough to control, I guess, unless you put camera on multi shot mode and then still tough.... I do love the spotted plumage on the mother bird. I wish you the best in your photo journey of the natural world. aloha, gerry

Hi Gerry... Thanks for stopping by and leaving your thoughts and encouraging comments... I really appreciate it... When I took this shot I had only a few seconds before the birds ran off into their burrow, so I didn't get a chance to take a lot of photos... Yes, the little chick does have a tad of motion blur... It was very late in the afternoon, and the light was not good... They were so hard to photograph being black and fluffy and such very fast little runners!... Thanks again and best wishes... Sally...
