Christal1664882414 0 Posted December 26, 2009 Outstanding DOF and movement of the water. This took some skill to achieve this without it being an HDR.....excellent control of the light on Mt. Hood. Just beautiful! Link to comment

lonebearimages 0 Posted January 5, 2010 Well, I think all of the appropriate platitudes have been used here; so, I'll focus my comments on the outstanding technical and artistic merits of this photograph. First, your composition is excellent; with the small stream leading the eye into the frame to Hood. Second, the POV couldn't be better! Getting down low makes this a much more unique perspective. Everyone else would have taken this photograph with the camera on the tripod 5-6 feet above the ground. It almost seems like you were lying on your belly in that cold stream to take this. The exposure is spot-on, with terrific details in the dark areas and the lightest regions on the side of Hood; and I'm glad to see that you didn't 'fog' the moving water too much either. Finally, for a winter image you have wonderful color balance. All in all, it is my opinion that this is your best photograph yet. Congratulations, Scott! Cheers! Chris [Although, your image "Blue Ice" will always be one of my faves of your work!] Link to comment
scottsmorra 0 Posted January 12, 2010 Thanks again to everyone for the comments. I have reposted the image after reprocessing based on the comments I have received. I evened out the central darkness in the sky (from the polarizer), used a slightly tighter crop and decreased the cyans a bit. Link to comment

Jim_Dockery_Photos 2 Posted May 12, 2011 The GND was perfect in this shot - not visible at all. Were you in the water? Use rubber boots? That is one of the new bits of gear I want to get for shots like this in the future. Link to comment
