Drew -

Who but you could bring life to an otherwise inanimate object. The shadow/reflection takes on an almost ominous presence. Fun and creative.

Thanks for your early and often support of me, Drew. It is so greatly appreciated. Best wishes to you for a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2010.

I like the color and light that gives a lot of volume feel and texture to this image...I am a fan of daily subject (to be direct banal ones) treated with curiosity and originality...I always thought that after a while (of course some dedication and technique) anybody can produce good images of photogenic subjects ...that's why I like the banal subjects so much...it really forces to get rid of the "I have seen it all mood" and try to see and capture the beauty and/or originality of the everyday when it appear...and when you succed like here...it's even more rewarding...

It's been really interesting and fun to follow your image series (even if I don't have all the time I wish to contribute with more comments) and I look forward to continue...I wish you a wonderful Xmas period with friends and family and a good start in 2010...

Drew this looks like something that I would have posted, I love shadows and you have found new and unusual subjects to create them. Please see my modification above for how I would have altered your post. I have a personal but strong aversion to having printed labels or signs included in my photographs. My crop eliminates the offensive (offensive to me) label from your fine shot. Thanks for sharing.

I appreciate the depth and perspective as well as the way the lighting seems to come to a peak. It's a very genuine shot and one that allows me to feel the attention of the photographer. You shot what was before you because you noticed it and saw photographic potential in the play of composition, light, and shadow. It's a festive kind of interaction of elements.

This is a real pleasure to watch! First; the treatment of colours and light are excellent and as you look at it for some time, a more and more rich complex yet simple underlying geometrical composition emerges. Congratulations – not everyone could turn this motive into a piece of art.
