Yes it was flipping freezing and another blizzard was just tapping at our shoulders.

The fractured landscape, low light, snow, blue cast, and lone tree make this a beautifully austere photograph, one that conveys a quiet and somber mood in a very cold atmosphere -- it's wonderfully done.
