amyknutkowski 0 Posted December 19, 2009 Very nice Tiffany! I love the texture you used. The color compliments her eyes well. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 20, 2009 A very sweet little girl and very effective use of positive space to the left. The colors are muted, which really works quite well to set the mood here. Just a lovely portrait all the way around. I can't think of a single thing to improve upon, well done! Link to comment

Amy...thank you! yes...this texture is definitely my current fave Steve...thank you so much...I tried a few versions of this and I was hoping this one worked...sometimes it is hard to tell when you work on one piece for awhile Link to comment
fpessolano 0 Posted December 20, 2009 Wonderful. The colors, the expression and the framing are simply beautiful. It is like a painting.I would have maybe cleaned her face a bit less (in terms of softening), but this is a minor detail. Really nice. Link to comment
gary_mcghee 0 Posted December 20, 2009 Tiffany, this is wonderful, excellent processing. Link to comment

janisok 0 Posted December 21, 2009 Tiffany, this is gorgeous. Nothing more to say. That hasn't already been said. Oops, I believe I just sang a little song! ~j Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted December 21, 2009 Mark....Garsh! Thank you! Francesco...Thank you. I agree that kids really don't need any help with skin softening, but sometimes I like it for the more idealized/illustrated look. Gary...Thank you! Joe...I wish I knew the magic formula, but maybe that would take all the fun out of it (>8 Michael...Thank you! I have recently developed a keen interest in the square crop and what makes them work...or not. Les...Thank you! This is actually a little girl this time. You know how I love to keep you guessing. Janis...Thank you! I so appreciate your visits. Your picture of Garrett...he could have been singing this song. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted December 23, 2009 This is very close to the perfect child portrait. The clothes and accessories come together to enhance the look of the child. I also like to off-center positioning and the lighting. I don't know how you got this expression but I love it. A little detail, the way she has her lips, is the perfect final detail. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted December 24, 2009 Salvador...Thank you! Mark...Thank you! Her expression? (sung to Dory's song in "Finding Nemo") "Just keep shooting, just keep shooting, that's what we do....ou...ou...we keep shooting!" Link to comment

drasulev 0 Posted January 5, 2010 Excellent photo, Tiffany ! I just love it and wish to create something similiar once :)Added to my favorites.Question: that sunflower looks like it was added later to the picture ? Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted January 5, 2010 Gary...Thank you and Happy New Year to you too! Pierre...Thank you...nice of you to stop and visit! Clemson...Thank you! Denis...Thank you! Yes, the sunflower was added. It is the same sunflower that I used in "How Does Your Garden Grow?"...I am sure that the lack of shadow gave it away, but sometimes the viewer is more lenient when a child is involved (>8 Link to comment
