charity1 0 Posted December 14, 2009 The rings are out-of-focus drew drops and they are rendered are rings as this was taken with a mirror lens. Often times this effect is distracting, but in this case, I really like it - what do you think? Link to comment
rblaser 0 Posted December 14, 2009 I love the ring effect, and the light through the leaf is beautiful. I sort of wish you had more of a figure object than just the leaf - but it's a nice shot anyway. Something to try again! Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted December 14, 2009 I like it very much since the bokeh is unusual. I have a 500 mm F8 nikkor mirror lens which i hardly ever use. perhaps I will dust it off and take it with me when I looking for a similar situation. What distracts me a tad is the extra bright rings e.g. the large one on the middle left. Well done. Link to comment
stemked 4 Posted December 14, 2009 It's amazing what a creative mind can make with a piece of equipment that I had written off. I tip my hat to you- by turning one person's distraction into an artistic statement. Lovely, lovely, a materpiece. Link to comment
gardena 0 Posted December 14, 2009 The contrast between the real-life leaf and the mysterious, abstract rings is great. I love the golden brown colour, too. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 14, 2009 Nice image! I like the bokeh which is typical for such kind of lens. Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted December 16, 2009 I love the unusual bokeh and the fact that the edges of the leaf are 'posterized'. Lovely lighting effect. Bravo! Link to comment
