Wonderfully direct composition, Carlos and your trademark tones which I've never seen anyone employ quite as effectively as you do. M certainly doesn't look exactly like Marilyn Monroe but there's something about the way she holds herself and looks unflinchingly at the camera that reminds me of MM.

The confidence of M's stance and composure meld perfectly with the assured vision and impeccable craftsmanship you use to present her to us. You have such a singular style, bold, sophisticated, and instantly recognizable. The skin tone against the black dress is gorgeous. I love the separation of subject and background my eye wants to trace along those lines slowly. The background itself is of a grand enough scale to befit your model.

This is eye candy in as much as the photo is a joy to look at however it is eye candy with flesh and blood and soul.

this portrait conveys such a fifties feel right down to the dress and sunglasses. The selfconfidence and directness is as obvious as it is appealing.

Attitude, style, and class.

In more ways than one, there's a story in her eyes.

High key used to express . . . not as a caricature. (Might be a lesson to many.)

Treatment, perspective, and expression working hand in hand.

Personal vision of another.

I have attempted to write down a comment more than twice before and have erased them in the end.

I just feel like a honey bee: I come here, taste a bit, then leave.

Then, I repeat!

I have almost no idea why do I keep coming back to see her, or you, your work...

Are you sure she is not watching me?

Everyone else has said it already, this is great.

What confidence, what self-assuredness! I simply love the boldness of her expression and everything you have done here only adds to the power. The subtle toning, the high-key, the upward perspective (key IMO), the square frame – they all add to the power of her expression wonderfully.

I terrific image, Carlos!
