What sort of geese are these? They are quite lovely and I'm always trying to expand my bird database.

 

Never mind. They are Bar-Headed Geese (Anser indicus). I see they're native to the far east (India/Asia). They must have been imported to the UK. They are very nice looking geese and I can see why they were brought in.

i like this picture a lot, the upper bird seems to be directing the other. It adds a great feeling of personification, which i think makes it very interesting.

You could think one of the birds is pointing at something the other ones looking at.
