jeffl7 0 Posted December 10, 2009 A nice capture, messy-headed, spontaneous, straightforward, as only kids can be. Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted December 10, 2009 Thanks Jeff. I know the sun was too bright, they were a mess(which I liked) and he had just jumped in the creek and was in the midst of drying off in the sun. This was Thanksgiving Day. I was going to upload the original and ask for suggestions and I have forgotten how. It's been a while! Oh, and I did not mean to put this up for rates...I knew better. I felt sure the 3/3's were still lurking around. Link to comment
mark_starr 0 Posted December 10, 2009 Don't worry about rates - they are worth the paper they are printed on... It is a great shot, and I am glad you shared it with us - these spontaneous images really have a spark to them that is often missing from posed shots. Mark Link to comment
f1_young 0 Posted December 11, 2009 What a great capture of a moment. You gor three kids to stop, do a casual pose, and help you get a great memory out of this. I like the tones, too. Link to comment
janisok 0 Posted December 11, 2009 Thanks Mark and Fred. I agree, not worth the worry, and Fred these are really my cup of tea! Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 14, 2009 You've given this picture a wonderful treatment that lifts it out of the area of the expected and suspends it somehow between genres. That's a nice place for an image to float where things aren't really pictures of anything but exist quite on their own terms. Link to comment

katzpjs 50 Posted December 15, 2009 I really like the grayscale tones you came up with for the image and I agree that b&w is a better choice than color. The scene reminds me of many of the photographs my mother took of us kids in the 1950s, Except I grew up with all boys in the neighborhood therefore there are not girls in my childhood photographs. It's a wonderful photograph. Link to comment
adan1 0 Posted December 19, 2009 Lovely composition Janis. The tones are great and you have really captured the essence of childhood playfulness here. Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted December 20, 2009 Well it's true. You are indeed posting again. Hope you are doing well and I'm in time to wish y'all a merry Christmas. Quite a trio here. Reminds me of when I was a little fellow in command of the world. Good seeing your presence again. ~Sky Link to comment
