I'm not sure about this shot; every time I look at it, I get the

feeling there's something I could go back and reshoot just a bit

differently to make it "work". Any thoughts?

I would get it sharper, although I realize that, that could be a scanning problem. Also I would include the grave markers around this one and use selective focus and shoot wide open so that only this marker is in focus. All this wil serve to highlight this one marker. Also shoot on a very oblique angle so that you can see the other makers.

Michael, I tend to agree with Roger that the focus should be on the near marker. In my opinion the info on the marker is more important than the recognition of the Canadian flag in the background (which may still have been recognizable though out of focus). I think I would have at least taken the shot both ways, especially if I couldn,t easily return for a reshoot.
