dugas 0 Posted December 2, 2009 Lough Tay better known as the Guinness Lake. The small but scenic lakein the Wicklow Mountains gets its name from the Guinness family whoseestate borders with it. The northern coastline is edged with a strapof amazingly white sand imported by the landowners. Admired from thenearby mountains, the lake bears similarity to a huge glass ofGuinness topped with a brim of foam. Your comments are most welcome. Link to comment

pfranklin 0 Posted December 5, 2009 Agree that it must viewed large. Well composed with wonderful color. I have been here before and have film photos of this beautiful lake, though they are not as nice as this one. Thank you for sharing this image and information. Best regards, Pamela Link to comment
dugas 0 Posted February 18, 2010 Thank you for visit and for the credit Margo. Thank you for visiting and commenting Carola, the lake surely does give you the feeling of crater - like view, but I think that is as well because of the wide lens was used. Thank you for your comments Pamela, this is surely one of the most scenic places in Wicklow Mountains, though I think there might be few well hidden as well, I will try to discover those and share the results of capturing them with you. Kind Regards, Bart Link to comment
