Your image is very daring. Your model is even more so!!!

I sense there are some dynamics going on here that are visual, but are not readily apparent. Of course, your model is the main subject. Well, the two yellow cab-like vehicles in the background along with the text at the top of the image, are in tough competition with her. She needs no costume. Duh, she needs no costume!! Costumes are required for disquising or covering up, yet she has no intention of that idea nor does she require it. New York has its share of facades, yet taxi cabs are the epitome of NYC. She is there, and she is bare. You have captured a wonderful, playful and sexy image amid the typical iconoclastic imagery of NYC.

I like her pose and the fact that her fair color is set off with the help of her dark coat and boots. The light is wonderful and sets her shapely figure off suberbly.

Just beautiful!!!!!!

Stephen, thank you for this detailed analysis. Admittedly, I walked around the day before to see where I could take my pictures, and the background with the clothes store seemed to be an amusing site. You never know however what something will really look like in situ when the time comes. A police car circled three times around the block, now whether we succeeded in evading them or on the contrary they came back for another look we'll never know! Certainly I agree, the model has what it takes, guts in particular. After all, she's a New Yorker, whereas I'm just another mad tourist. We promised to do it again next time I'm in new York ... I have a couple of new locations in mind ... :-)

There is something very compelling about this image. For one, I am almost nervous that some crazy Sarah Palin is going to have you and the model arrested for "indecent exposure"--this kind of risqué pose does not happen in the US in public. Then, since, and because it doesn't happen in the US, I can see that she might be wearing a "costume"... a fancy un-dress.

I commend you for being so daring in public.

This is a very compelling image on many levels. The subject contrast between her lack of costume and the store, the black and white contrast of her coat and boots against her skin, and lastly the yellows that tend to come to the forground in the image when they are actually in the background. Kudos to you both.
