A different crop could add measurably to the impact of this photo. By placing the bird dead center of the frame it looks static and resembles a snapshot rather than a photograph. By cropping tighter and leaving more open space on the left, it gives the image a sense of motion and makes the image a lot more dramatic.

Lovely catch against the deep green. It looks like his reflection was blocked by the foreground, otherwise that would have been great to catch. Still nice as is. Cheers.
