unclebuddha 0 Posted February 1, 2003 As much as I hate squirrels, I love this. "hey, forget about that nut back there, I wanta crack that camera!" Link to comment
squirrelman 0 Posted February 1, 2003 For those interested, you can call squirrels over to you if you speak very softly and do not move suddenly. They will come up right to you, and even take food out of your hand. This one was quite brave, and while he looks fierce with those claws, he was actually waiting for me to give him another nut. I usually go out alone, so I haven't been able to get a shot of one taking the nut right from my hand -- you have to remain absolutely still or they run away. Link to comment
squirrelman 0 Posted February 19, 2003 Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the park!! The claws on this critter look remarkably like those found on the raptors in Jurassic Park. Link to comment
alex_taylor 0 Posted February 20, 2003 Beautiful shot! Very sharp, and great composition! I really like the perspective, you nailed the perfect angle. Link to comment
john_greenwood1 0 Posted February 20, 2003 One of these days Michael, you are going to get the biggest kicking of your life from claws and his mate kung fu squirrel. You have been Warned! By the way, are you insured? ;o) Link to comment
nikonuserf100 0 Posted February 20, 2003 "I don't believe you don't have any! I say 'nuts' to you sir!" Sometimes animal shots are just animal shots and sometimes they have a little personality. Very nice work. Link to comment
pavel1 0 Posted February 24, 2003 he looks like he is going to box you to protect his nut. Link to comment
photobyalan.com 0 Posted February 28, 2003 This is 1000% better than your "Kung-Fu Squirrel" pic. The lean of the body gives the shot the apparent motion it needs, even the lone nut in the background gives the image a little balance. And the eyes are in focus. Most importantly, there's no attempt to "fix" it with Photoshop. Link to comment
