Guest Guest Posted November 24, 2009 This is a wonderful shot, I remember Ranier looking like that all to often! I think if the crop were a little different, placing the truck closer to the right vertical third instead of the middle, would help make the composition a lot stronger. That also places the large tree on the left vertical third as well, further strengthening the composition. The horizon is dead on the bottom horizontal third already That image makes me shiver just looking at it!!! Link to comment
momagnum 5 Posted November 24, 2009 I prefer the original image. It has a balance and calmness. The control of light and colours is out of this world. Tommy Link to comment
solarspeed 0 Posted November 25, 2009 Thank you Scott for your constructive comment. I really appreciate it. I didn't think about cropping it at all. Your version draws more attention on the truck. However I prefer the original version as Tommy pointed out. I feel it gives more room and relaxing feeling. But I will think about cropping for better composition in the future. Donibane and Tommy - Thank you for your kind comments. Link to comment
iancoxleigh 0 Posted November 26, 2009 I really like your original crop. It has a grace to it and a majestic openness. Lovely image all around. I love how the huge trees and massive amounts of snow dwarf the plow. The soft colours against the punchy yellow also works well. Link to comment
ellery 0 Posted November 30, 2009 My first reaction was, uh oh its dead center, but I then decided it works well here - particularly (and this may sound dumb) with the title just below the "plow truck" :) Beautiful Capture, all great design elements are present IMO !!!!!! Link to comment
