tangerine1 0 Posted November 21, 2009 Between fast food, fast life and ... fast lenses, we're just cogs inan universal mechanism....And photography might just be a kind of freedom. Link to comment

mike_stemberg 40 Posted November 22, 2009 This is most definitely a whole lot improved on your first showing of this great image. The lines of the composition stand out more crisply... If I were you I would still keep this image on the burner for further future processing investigations. I'm convinced you can get a lot more out of this image. Good going! Link to comment
mg 0 Posted November 25, 2009 Interesting picture... It works fine for me as it is, although I can see, I think, what Mike is probably suggesting...: perhaps a little more detail on the walls would give this a stronger 3D feel...? But on the other hand, there's another way to look at it : would a stronger 3D feel really be better in this case...? Maybe, maybe not... As I see it, here the people walking are overpowered by an abstraction... If there would be more details on the wall, this family would then be overpowered by an architecture, a building, basically something more real... 2 different interpretations, imo - and none of the two is "better", as I see it : just different... Then, on a different note - composition -, I'd perhaps like to have just a little bit more ground under the family's feet... Best regards. Link to comment
axel-cordes 0 Posted November 25, 2009 This is a gorgeous street shot - I like the formal way of lines and black and white - a lot comes into my mind when I see this one! Congratulations! Link to comment
mike_stemberg 40 Posted November 25, 2009 Yes, I'd definitely go for Marc's idea of building more of a base at the bottom of the frame. It should be easy enough to add. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted November 29, 2009 Interesting composition.I like it better in this B/W than the blue one, the huge geometric wall with not much details and lack of shadows enable the people to be dominant. I wonder what time of day it was photographed, midday? I join the previous comments about some more space which was needed on the lower part, other than that well observed situation, and attracting visually. Link to comment
