Wonderful expression. Great lighting and toning. I think the hand on the glasses is a bit distracting, but overall a great picture.

I like your portraits. They are natural, not staged and warm-hearted.

Birgit hit the nail on the head. I was looking at your portraits and, wanting to give you my overall impression, figured that I'd just write it in the comments of the first in your portfolio - this one. Just what Birgit said... your people are very natural. They obviously feel very comfortable around you and your camera (to the extent that they could all be good friends of yours).

After looking through this folder I'm really taken by your refresing approach to casual portraits. I really like them!

and complex portrait : congratulations... you got the complexity of the moment, I believe. The expression of the face is of fulfilment, while retaining a crude touch, conveyed by the cruel details on the neck... (hence, the title ?) You slightly cropped it, didn't you ? I've be interested to see the original shot.

Well, I do like it : there's an entire world in your shot...

Thanks,

David

So beautiful & natural, love it Monika.

Like the warmth of using sepia in this one, as it is a very warm capture it suits.

Hallo Monika, Diese foto ist Wonderbar....Meine Deutsch ist sehr schlect....Anyway, I love the tones of this film and have used it alot myself for several years. This looks like an available light shot with built in natural hair and back light. I don't know how you found this wonderful condition but it looks great. And if you used lights, it does not look like it...Just a great portrait. Last of all congratulations on the featured phototgrapher of the week. Auf viedersehn, Brad (Georg) Bradley

These are the kind of portraits I am striving for...inviting, warm and above all, natural. I'm so glad I found your photos!
