veerendra_chirala 0 Posted March 9, 2001 Metered in the lighter area and stopped down by 1 stop to compensate for multiple exposure. Your comments would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment
darryn patch sydney austr 0 Posted March 9, 2001 Very rarely does a photo on photo.net stop me in my tracks. This is an awesome photo not something that is a dime a dozen but so original that I am going to try and duplicate your results when something warrants that type of shot.Well done for getting a cracker result Link to comment
coastal 0 Posted March 9, 2001 Is imitation the highest form of flattery? i dunno but you sure did a good job on this one...Anyone see my Dec2000 copy of Outdoor Photographer? :) Link to comment
julian_young1 0 Posted March 9, 2001 How was this done?Slide film that is un-exposed is black. The front/lower tower is black ie no light, the back/upper tower has a fair degree of light. I there for would expect the lit tower to show trough / appear on top of the front tower. Some how the black of the front tower was protected. How was it protected? Link to comment
fatboab 1 Posted March 9, 2001 What's the point...? I'd would have prefered to see this interesting rock on it's own. It's all well and good experimenting with multiple images any everything, but this just looks like a bad digital creation IMHO. Link to comment
veerendra_chirala 0 Posted March 9, 2001 I was inspired by Muench's photo on the OP magazine and that prompted me to take this photo. I do agree that this is no way near Muench's. And thanks for your comments. Link to comment
jon_mcclintock 0 Posted March 9, 2001 Very nice. I would like to see more detail in the larger exposure, however (there very well may be detail that has been lost in the scan). Perhaps if you had used a gradiated neutral density filter, with the dark portion on top, for the smaller exposure, there would be more detail in the larger exposure? Anyways, I like it. legaleus 0 Posted March 10, 2001 Had to stop and comment. Great shot. Composition, exposure and vision are right on. Impressive. I'm inspired to go and burn some film. Thanks Link to comment
alex_hawley 0 Posted July 2, 2001 This photo isn't rated high enough if my opinion. So what if Muench did a similar one? This shows that Mr. Muench isn't the only one who can take oustanding photos. Congratulations! 8 and 8. Link to comment
