Blue Flutter
A pair of Common Bluebottles shot near Irpu falls, Kodagu (Coorg) District in India.One of the most beautiful butterflies in India, the Common Bluebottle (Graphium sarpedon luctatius ), is common at the Irpu Falls. In marked contrast to the overall metallic mossy green and brilliant green band on the upperside - the underside is a dark reddish brown relieved by a few small red half-moons on the hindwing. Occasionally, up to eight butterflies can be found congregated on one spot. The caterpillar feeds on a species of wild Cinnamon.
