Disorienting, defamiliarizes the familiar in the manner of surrealist painting and poetry.

The blurred motion of the rain and the car stands in stark contrast to the static, waiting figure, standing eerily at a slight tilt.

Spooky, I didn't even recognize that it was a nun at first and when I did it looked more like someone facing me with their face covered with a blue piece of cloth, who could pull it off, anytime, and reveal who knows what.

Magicians cover up and reveal objects with pieces of cloth like this.

simply perfect.

Colors and motion make of a picture a story...

Thanks for your comment to my "wake up". (The two are really a couple in love and... for the first time in front of a camera).

Regards

Anna K.

The blue colour is exceptional! I like this shot, because it scares me a little bit too. I aggree, this picture has some sort of "Spookieness!"

That deep blue keeps pulling my eye to this, even as a thumbnail. It's not a super shot otherwise, but that blue is beautiful.

This one strikes fear in me. Looks like something out of a scary movie. Without your mentioning "nun" in the title, I might have imagined that the person is looking towards me with a veil over the face. Really a strange feel and the motion of the rain adds to the fear factor. It's a nun you say, and yet I get the feeling that there is some sort of evil demon hiding under the blue shroud.

Fantastic contrast - vivid blue to dull night glow, static individual to the blur of the world passing her by.

It's the cinematic quality of this which excites me: the feeling that there are other frames that precede/may follow this one. I think the loose crop helps this.
