carlwakefield 0 Posted November 12, 2009 Great shot and love the story, I also spend hours alone in bitter weather. I just don't come back with such good shots. (Yet) Excellent Link to comment
mariussabo 0 Posted November 14, 2009 Marc, maybe not the best place for this wonderful scene but you did it the best you could and the result is just amazing. I like very much the light and the colors. The peak in the background is the main actor here and he is doing his "job" very well. Have a nice light. Link to comment
chriss1 2 Posted November 14, 2009 well, your photos always catch my attention and are the source of endless amazement... You chose the best place to set the camera, the play between light and areas remaining in shadows gives very pleasant effect for my eyes. Perfect quality, one of very best (in my opinion) of your work. Link to comment
ricklundh 0 Posted November 16, 2009 It's totally a sweet shot. I think these are my favorite images...with the snow smacked trees in the fg...Really a treat to explore the details in every portion of this image... Link to comment
hyzdic 0 Posted November 16, 2009 Absolutely fantastic winter shot. Dramatic sky, frozen trees and short lines in the foreground - all goes so well together. I can feel the coldness here. Link to comment

mika.huisman 0 Posted December 7, 2009 This is it. The perfect moment and perfect capture. I have to say I have always admired your tones you have in your pictures (and compositions and subjects and dedication and..), I suppose it comes with right timing and mostly because you have chased that right moment and picture so many days in a year. Hard work. At your works I find lot of same as in many great landscape artists (I mean painters) only exception is that you have seconds to take the picture while they had days to paint it (almost how they wanted). Your pictures really make honor for the nature! ATB, Mika Huisman Link to comment

steve_wagner1 1 Posted December 22, 2009 This is a gorgeous image. To be honest most of your images are very unnatural to me - no offense, they are still beautiful - but this is a spectacular, believably natural looking capture of an amazing scene. As a longtime Oregon photog I can say this is one of the best High Cascades photos I've ever seen. I would ease up on the forced vignetting, I don't think it's necessary and it doesn't really add much to an image like this. Link to comment
marcadamus 1 Posted December 26, 2009 I don't strive for 'natural', Brett. It's too easy. Link to comment
federicocarli 0 Posted December 28, 2009 Stunning! Probably this is one of the best photo I have ever seen! Link to comment

steve_lane3 0 Posted January 21, 2010 Such lovely colours. Do you custom white balance the scene there and then or adjust later? Ther overall brightness is spot-on too. As if we are seeing with our own eyes. Do you always have a clear idea of what you want an image to look like or do you play around in post processing? As a beginner I find pre-visualising difficult. It is hard to get my mind past the scene in front of me. Best wishes. Link to comment
