You have made an interesting image from something that I would walk by without a second glance. the colours and lines really sing. I only wonder why you cut the bottom of the arrow out of the frame. Does it look better than with it in?

Thank you Jeff, I really appreciate your comment.

To answer your question, I think it does....I cut it on purpose, as I was trying to balance both the building and billboard, with that of the sky, in a sort of ying & yang play; and while both spaces are not specifically equivalent, they share a similar form of "L's" upright and upside down.

I do have others with the whole arrow showing, and they just didn't turn out that well, it seems like sometimes breaking some rules, get better results. Cheers,

Thanks for the explanation. I didn't think that it would have been an accident so I was curious as to your thinking. As you know, following the rules is not my forte.

Came back to leave a real comment : )

I really like the balance you've achieved with the two leaning verticals. The obvious message "Park" pops but the subtle realization that it is visually parked it great fun. I also really like the diagonal cables that support (pun intended) the message and the open windows.

Great Capture!!!

Thank you John, is interesting that you mentioned those cables, one of my favorite parts of this image, as well. Cheers,

I asked too why you crop the arrow...the people that don't be a fan of photography usually don't see this kind of things.Well seen Juan Carlos,I like the tone, likes the old colour slides.

Mario, thank you. Honestly, I debated with myself for a while, of weather to cut the arrow's bottom, or not; in the end, I think I made the right thing by doing so. As for color, I'm really grateful that you noticed it, as you know I give a great deal of importance to color... Saludos,

Color, definitely. That orange/sky blue mix gives a sense of time and age that the b&w version only hints at.

Thank you Jeff, I thought so too. I do like the B&W version, but I find the colored one to be more appealing, because it reminds me of a set of color pictures of billboards from the 50’s and 60’s, I once saw; I had those photos in my mind, when I tried to compose this shot, your comment kind of confirms me that at least I got close to getting that look.

Cheers,
