Thursday at the Souk

Muy interesante foto Alberto! Los rayos de luz le dan dimensión de altura y profundidad impresionantes.

Los tonos azulados, junto con esos rayos de luz y la multitud hacen una foto, cuando menos, interesante.

Original y preciosa. Lástima del desenfoque en primer plano. Pese a eso, muy muy lograda.

It's a shame that this photo is so blurred; it could have been really good.

Glad to see you again, Soren, visiting my photos and giving me the opportunity to listening to your opinions. However, here, I point out to you a number of facts:

This kind of photo, in the middle of a muslim souk, have to be taken as incospicuosly as possible: this means, in plain English, fast. So, I chose DOF rather than to have the moving people in the foreground in focus. In the compromise between diafragm and shutter speed I prioritized closing the diafragm as much as possible with a shutter speed that would enable a handheld shot.

Then decided to focus in the middle of the alley. If you have a closer inspection you'd be able to notice that part of the frame well in focus. As a matter of fact, the Max Factor neon sign is sharp in focus (I have it blown up at home and that is much clear there than in this scanned for the web version)

Que ambiente de fotografia!! Respecto al enfoque no te voy a decir nada por que entiendo el problema de profundidad de campo en una escena nocturna y encima en movimiento...

Me encanta, podria ser una escena de StarWars Episodio III, habla con George Lucas... ;-)

Although this is not perfect technically, it is dynamic and full of vibrant light. The smile at the bottom centre gives added life too.
