karolostrivizas 2 Posted November 9, 2009 All your recent syntheses are excellent Vicki........... Interesting funny expressions and poses here, and well processed presentation. Link to comment
vickilynn 0 Posted November 9, 2009 I would really appreciate some feedback on this poster created for a local band in Asheville. This is new for me and I really enjoy working with the photos cutting , pasting , backgounds , lighting. Any suggestions or comments on this and the photos in my portfolio named Yellar Dog another band in Asheville would be most appreciated. I am not looking for ratings as much as constructive critique. Thanks Link to comment
hans11664883765 0 Posted November 10, 2009 I really like this: the colors, the poses, the lighting and how the band name is in there. The only thing (and looking at the large version brought this out more to me) is the color and grainy structure of the background. The lighting streaks in there are good, but there is something about the "feel" of it that (purely personally) could be done different. Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted November 10, 2009 The "CONTAGIOUS" logo is well done, but it is in the wrong place, and the wrong angle. I would try the 3 upright figures on center, with the kneeling figure in front of them. Put the logo across the dark shirts of the standing figures. Did you try a one piece background? That grass is kind of tacky. Link to comment
vickilynn 0 Posted November 10, 2009 Hi Jim Thanks for the critique. The grass is there because the orginal standing pose was taken standing in front of a wall with grass under their feet so when I cut them out short of rebuilding their shoes that was my only option. I would have preferred it not to be there as well. Lesson learned here... I need a studio or a backdrop that they can stand on as opposed to being exposed to the available surroundings. I do appreciate your time to critique the photo because this is exactually what I am after so I can improve my work. I have only worked on the two band shots and I love doing this type of editing. Many thanks Link to comment
