critter_vision 0 Posted January 29, 2003 the sunlight on the building is really nice. good colors to bring out the subject. when i first looked at it i didnt think about there being too much sky, but maybe if you could get less gray and more color in the sky next time you photograph this [if its close to you or if you were planning to] then you might like it more. also, just wander around with your camera and find other angles that might appeal to you more. bye! james_stangroom 0 Posted June 11, 2003 Hello, I like the lighting on the building, but is there too much sky? Thisis cropped slightly from the original. Thanks for your feedback! James Link to comment
bjmarkowitz 1 Posted June 11, 2003 I think if you took away more of the sky you would turn the tree into just a grey mass. It would loose its definition as a tree. I dont think you need to worry to much about it because your eye is drawn to the building and its color. Great Pic! Link to comment
kristi_h 0 Posted June 11, 2003 It's a beautiful picture and I really like the contrast in the color of the trees to the building. It looks to me like the picture needs to be rotated to the right a tad to make the building even with the horizon. While it could be that you took the picture at an angle, the enbankment indicates otherwise. Personally, I would crop down from the top and take off some of the left side after the rotation. Other than the tilt effect, I think it's a great picture and has a lot of potential. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted June 12, 2003 The warmer colours on the buildings contrast well with the colder whites and greys. Funny, I also noticed that whilst the river bank (or fg) appears @ 180 degrees, the building seems in need of CW rotation. But the first impression to me is the temperature contrast, the building like fire in the darkness of night. Link to comment
