Crop the left side...

I would not crop the left side! Great portrait!

 

Most excellent. Yes, it stands alone. I'd like to see white out on the left cloned out and the to see mroe light in the eyes.

I understand Rana's request but if you ask for my opinion leave it as it is. It is a strong and beautiful capture.

Is 100S, Kodak's velvia? Way oversaturated.

100S is similar to Velvia but emphasis on reds not blues.

You asked whether this portrait can stand alone. I certainly think so. Composition is very good, expression too. A simple and lovely portrait. Yet, I would think that you should correct the colors of this upload. The face is too red to me - unless of course that was what you saw that day. Even then, I'd cut down on the red a little and dodge the face a little bit too. This white triangle bottom left would better not be there, but it's not very serious to me.

Overall in this folder, I see quite a few nice face shots. You havea good eye for expressions, I think...
