mcclure 0 Posted November 7, 2009 I had to come back to this one several times before I think I'm beginning to understand it. The message, for me, is looking up at the the surface of ice from beneath the frozen layer. Looking through the ice at someone's gesture from the other side. It's quite a disturbing and a remarkable idea that speaks volumes. I'm not fond of the specular highlight at the tip of the fingers but know it was an intentional metaphor. "The covered shadow" is the look from both sides? Best, John Link to comment

nichroe 0 Posted November 12, 2009 Hi John,,glad to hear from you,,this serie is an attempt to show shadows in many aspects,,and this shot shows the opposite one with light in front,,,to dive under the icecap. I decided to accept the overlight,,but admit it does annoy a lot,,i had no trepod so it created itself after 10 sec,,,best niels Link to comment
