amalsircar 2 Posted November 3, 2009 The Remembrance Day is being observed in the Commonwealth on 11 Nov each year. It also signifies the signing for peace and the "cease fire" at the end of WW I at 11 hrs, 11 mts, 11 Secs on11 Nov 1918. The soldiers always respect the departed, irrespective of their nationality or for the cause for which they gave their lives. I salute the brave hearts. Link to comment
amrit_chatterjee 0 Posted November 4, 2009 The memorial of the Unknown Soldier is established in most towns and cities of the world. The Brave Hearts who have lain down their lives for their Country and Colleagues will always be remembered for ages to come. This memorial in Puducherry is a well known monument on the sea side which has been very ably captured by you in all its true somber ambiance. samrat 1 Posted November 12, 2009 Amalda, this is definitely one of your better photos recently. Good sepia treatment. It oozes plenty of mood. I like the comparison to the Grim Reaper...I think the shadow has that feel to it. I would have liked this to have a little more contrast so that the shadows are accentuated. Link to comment
