Nice tapestry of fall colors, but it could use better light.

Dear Mike and Claude, I completely agree with you. On my screen it does not look the same as when I post it, and sometimes I am afraid of over saturation. Your photo is 100% better, it's hard for me to know when enough is enough. I appreciate your comments. Thank you both, Teresa

Teresa... Let me apologize. I should never offer samples from my work monitor since it is not calibrated and is quite contrasty. The sample I uploaded is sorta cartoonish with bad color. Here at home your image is not that far off and really just needs a little highlight adjustments. Here's a reworked sample and I'm going to remove the other... Regardless, a beautiful scene.... I don't claim to be an expert at posting and it's been a learning experience for me, but 1) I prepare an image where it looks the best I can make it, 2) I then run unsharp mask at about a 80 - 90 value - depends on the image, 3) reduce the size to about 1024p wide for landscapes or 800p high for portraits, 4) frame if you desire. Right before uploading I check to see if the compression has dulled any highlights; then upload.

Thank you Mike! I will try that with my next post. Please do not appologize for anything. As simple as it sounds, I didn't know that it was necessary to make more adjustments after resizing, I really thought the difference was because of my monitor. Teresa

p.s.- I think i have a photo (probably taken from the same area) of Buzzards Roost...but a closeup such as yours. and...i like yours better! will try to find it and post.
