The ultra blue saturation looks a little contrived. If this was unaltered, then it's quite beautiful, but i cant help but feel like i'm seeing artificial colors. IMHO.

Yedhir, Thanks for your comments. There is no manipulation in this image at all. This is a long exposure at night time and that's how I saw the sea that night. That day, I starting shooting just after sunset, but I got my best shots at night time.

Wow. I tip my hat to you then, sir. Well done!

I guess all that "mist" is a byproduct of the long exposure, eh?

Shoot! I just noticed you were using a Mamiya 645! I have a 645J...actualy my dad's, he bought it new in the early 80's for his brother, though it was never used untill a couple of weeks ago when i tried it out. The first roll i had processed showed how little i know about medium format, much less my mamiya. Any tips on resources/info. on the mamiya and medium format in general?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Thanks again for your comments, Yedhir. You would love medium format. Mamiya makes great lenses. I would advise you to get a good light meter. I use lightmeter extensively and almost always use a tripod. Do you have access to a darkroom? One of the problem i faced in medium format workflow was scanning the films. It is very expensive to drum scan your film, but I recently bought a used Nikon Coolscan 8000 film scanner, which is really excellent and results are close to drum scan. My advise would be to go out and shoot different types of films. I started with Black and White, and then used color negatives and slides. Fuji Velvia 50/100 are my favorites for landscapes. Please let me know if you have any specific questions!

What an impressive photo, Anil. It is so rich and intense in saturation. I love it. In my opinion it would look superb in a black frame. Very well done.
