alex_hawley 0 Posted January 25, 2003 One of the most creative shots I've seen in a long time. Technically excellent too. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted January 26, 2003 Highly interesting. No wonder Sunset has already arrived on this page...:-)I like the wall better on this one than on the other shot you have uploaded so far. I would have the same question about sharpness. I like the pose very much. I like the little details everywhere. My only problem here is that the hand almost disappears and that the doll stands too straight and in front of the arm. It creates a sort of confusion there for a short while, and this confusion takes some attention unnecessarily for a while. Then I wonder what's that yellow on the doll... In the end, I like it about as much as the other one, pros and cons... Regards. Link to comment
nomade 1 Posted January 26, 2003 interesting, but I find her pose kind of "artificial". Link to comment
brett_dance 0 Posted January 26, 2003 I have to ask if this was a hand printed image or was it lab produced work. I like it very much, but it needs more huumphh! Link to comment
glabarca 0 Posted January 27, 2003 It is indeed an extraordinary photo... meaning out of ordinary. It means that it is not easy to be indiferent to it. I think that you are on the edge between a very good photo and a very bad one. Making and showing this kind of photos entails taking risks. My reaction is: I like it very much, for one it is very very ambiguous, ambiguity can make good art (think Man Ray for instance), which is here the case, besides ambiguity is an important feature of our culture. You can see that in your photo, It is not clear if it is funny or dramatic, if it is good taste or bad taste etc. But that is precissely why your photo is worth watching, you make wonder and ponder, it does not end after the first glance. There is not doubt though that the model is gorgeus. Congratulations and keep showing your work. Link to comment
william_lawless 0 Posted January 27, 2003 You succeeded in setting up and getting a very provocative picture. Very straight on nude without pretense. A lot of art and thought. and something for every viewer to get interested. It could be a dream. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 28, 2003 Very good representation of an interesting subject. Link to comment
jimvanson 0 Posted January 28, 2003 When I first looked at this series of work I thought "all right...cutting edge stuff". I've come back to it several times since then; I've been kinda let down each time I've done so. My opinion now? Yes it's good but I've tired of it too quickly...it's now kinda dull. Link to comment
maarten_van_hoven 0 Posted January 28, 2003 The print of her briefs is kind of dissapointing... Gives it a cheap, pornographic touch Link to comment
glabarca 0 Posted January 28, 2003 Stella...about your comment---"dont like mixing religion and nudes"....you dismiss a lot of art, Eva and Adan have been usually painted naked, and Christ in the cross is without clothes as well, never loosing their religious meaning. Link to comment
viv1 0 Posted January 28, 2003 Stella, may I ask why you mention "religion"? I can see clearly the nude though :) Link to comment
kevin_clark1 0 Posted January 28, 2003 mixing religion and nudes?? What am I missing in this, what religion?? Beautiful model, excellent composition, subject, and printing.... what else needs to be said, except keep up the good work. Link to comment

hooped_snapper 0 Posted February 4, 2003 This one does not work as well as some of the others in the series. The baby doll is out of place. Link to comment
joe_j._koltai 0 Posted February 7, 2003 There is no innocense like lost innocense.I was at first distressed by the cluttered background, but later managed to reconcile this as poetic license. The religious aspect is nonsense as the only place I could immagine any worsip would be at her feet.On third appraisal the doll erases any Madonnalike charachteristic and her body is no altar. So then I berate myself for getting caught up in an immage that has obvious depth of field discrepancies. Not a bad effort.Get around to clean up your studio and focus your lens on the subject not the cluttter in the foreground. OK--EH Link to comment
koval 0 Posted February 20, 2003 Great work. There is somthing about the textures on the wall . they seem a bit more sharper then the women .Still a great work. Link to comment
