I like very much this kind of house to artphoto, i don't know what color is the house wall, if it is more white i think it will be better ,....

I agree with Michael that this is a little too dark.

I dont understand how someone may critisise this image by refering to it as "too dark". What is the correct value? Middle grey?

 

This is very nice. Very nice indeed. Possibly there needs to be a rating system on some of the comments here.

I agree w/ what some of the others have said of this series (Southwest folder) -- could be lighter. I associate the Southwest w/ lots of sunlight, desert conditions...seems like the photos almost want to be VERY light, like washed out/bleached by the sun. Just a thought! Keep up the good work.

I like the depth of focus, composition, and lines in this image quite a bit. Very cool

This is GREAT! I really like the geometry and since I wasn't there I can't say if it should be lighter or not. Even so the tone works for me, even breaks with the cliche. The only thing I might change is to get rid of the window of sky at the top - it adds nothing and would simplify / strengthen the image if removed. The trouble is that I do like the window to the left of it - a dilemma.

 

The tonality is just right for me. Gives me a feeling of the 30's style of photography; maybe the choice of film has to do with it, I don't know. Very good image. I can imagine how an 11x14 fiber print will look.

Very nice, with good repetition of shapes. I don't mind the darkness of it - it defines the soft texture of the walls, which contrast well with the defined edges of the buildings and give the photo a mood of its own. I would have liked to see a little more depth of focus - it seems to me the houses in the background are not completely sharp and in a photo such as this where the geometry of the shapes is so important, really sharp edges throughout would be preferable.
