Nice. I like the colors & composition. Correct me if I'm wrong but it appears the sky and moon were digitally composited. The sky looks a little like something out of Bryce.

when you look at the moon the sun should be at the left of the picture, but I don't think that at that hight the sun would already be up it's past last quarter and on half moon the sun is 90 degrees for or after the moon. On full moon the sun is at 180 degrees, the opposite of the sun. So when the sun comes up the moon goes down and vise versa.

Now the moon is somewhere inbetween (between a 90 and 180 degrees from the sun)and given that in tropical regions the sun/moon rises quickly at a steap angle. And the fact that the lighter face of the moon is facing down, there is no way that I could think of that this picture was taken with natural sunlight. The sun couldn't be up.

So It's digitaly altered or taken with under moonlight conditions.

Am I right????? comments

aside from the clouds looking fake i will give them the benefit of the doubt that they could be real, but the horizon line looks horribly digital. and the rock in the distance to the left, the edges are too sharp

One look at Mr. Candidi's portfolio tells you this is a digitalalteration, because something is obviously not right and he isvery talented. That being said and taking this picture for whatits worth, it is gorgeous! I love the blues, the rocks, and thesurreal clouds and moon.
The whole moon phase observation is very correct, Im surprisednobody has commented that moon phase fact on this shot I took:http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=839332, which was obviously digitally altered! :) Good work in andout of the digital darkroom!
